This week’s pet is Sabreena, a six month old Lab/Husky blend who’s been in rescue since she was about 3 -4 weeks old. Sabreena is a wonderful dog who deserves so much more than growing up in rescue, she needs her FURRever family to step forward. Please read her story and share it with your friends.
In November of 2012, a SSNIP volunteer on the Sagkeeng First Nations Reserve found a tiny three week old pup sitting next to a burned down house. She was skinny and crying and unfortunately all alone. Puppies that young aren’t typically too far from their mom. The volunteer searched and searched for a mom or other puppies, but sadly found nothing.
The small pup was transported into Winnipeg by SSNIP and brought to Jenn’s Furry Friends Rescue. She was so tiny, we weren’t even sure what breed she was, but the pup was set up with one of our volunteer foster homes and named Sabreena.
Sabreena is now six months old and thriving in her foster mom’s care. She he has two other dogs and a few cats to play with, and they all get along great! She loves meeting new people and playing in the snow. Sabreena is crate trained, house broken and working on all sorts of basic obedience training. We think Sabreena would do best in an active home as she is an active girl who loves to play and run.
As our pet of the week, Sabreena will join her forever family with a care package full of treats! Additionally, her adoption fee has been reduced to $175 for this week only. To set up a meet and greet with Sabreena, please email us your completed adoption form and we will contact you as soon as possible.
