Jenn's Furry Friends Rescue

A sad turn of events

Fiona was a very sick dog we flew down from Norway House in December, she came in with a severe case of mange. Because of the mange we couldn’t have her spayed or vaccinated. Sadly we didn’t know that she was in early pregnancy. Tonight we got a call from the foster home that she delivered a puppy!  In complete shock I (Jenn) drove there as fast as I could. She has been on many meds since she arrived and I had a bad feeling that this probably affected the puppy somehow. I looked the puppy over and saw no visible signs of a deformity. Opened her mouth and saw right away that she had a cleft palate that went from front right to the back. Sadly this puppy had no chance of survival so the humane thing I had to do was put her down.

Our thoughts are with Fiona and her foster mom during this difficult time. We also want to thank every one of our Facebook followers for their kind words and support.
